Body Puzzle

Prints of various sizes and on different mediums are coming soon.

Artist statement

A chunky sculptural form with rustic figurative embellishments on a punchy background.

Rosy Embrace

Prints of various sizes and on different mediums are coming soon.

Artist statement

This heavenly picture of a rose with her arms reaching out towards us came from a three dimensional mixed media sculpture that I had previously made.

I added my photo of a beautiful sunset into the background.

But then in a flash of inspiration I re-positioned the sunset upside down to make the whole image even more dramatically unreal.

Lady in my Hand

Prints of various sizes and on different mediums are coming soon.

Artist statement

I like to document the working progress of each of my art pieces with photos each day as a visual diary.

Here I created a surreal digital picture by combining two of these documentary photos together into one idea. Each came from quite separate art projects in different mediums. One was from a photo of one of my unfinished wet clay figures and the other was taken from a partly finished pencil drawing.

So the two unfinished artworks in two different mediums came together to create a completely finished artwork in a third medium…… Voila!

Rock Face

Prints of various sizes and on different mediums are coming soon.

Artist statement

“Nature is the best artist” (Vi’s quote)

One day as I was walking back along the rocky shore from a fishing trip I couldn’t believe my luck!

Suddenly this astonishing face was starring up at me from the rock slab I was standing on.

I’d walked over him a hundred times before since I was a child, but never saw him till now.

All those years he had been patiently waiting for me to spot him and take his photo.

Family

Prints of various sizes and on different mediums are coming soon.

Artist statement

Four human hearts are laced together on a patterned background resembling frayed fabric.

Here I chose coloured pencils because of their ability to combine soft colour and sharp line in one simple action.

This first drawing in the series was completed starting from the centre and gradually working out towards the border in order to generate a feeling of expansive energy.
